Ancelotti responds to Hazard’s shock comments: “Yes.. what he said about me is true”

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that what Eden Hazard said is true.

In a stunning interview on Tuesday morning, Los Blancos winger Hazard revealed he was no longer speaking to his coach.

The Belgian, 32, has not played for two months but insists he wants to stay on his £470,000-a-week salary even if his chances of playing are slim.

The former Chelsea star appeared for only 296 minutes in all competitions this season. Hazard’s last appearance with Real Madrid was in the King’s Cup against fourth-division team CP Caserino.

Despite his position on the sidelines, Hazard recently announced that he has no intention of leaving the club this summer and wants to complete the final year of his highly lucrative contract.

“There is respect between us,” Hazard told RTBF. But I wouldn’t say we talk to each other, because we don’t talk to each other. But there will always be respect. I have to respect a man like Carlo Ancelotti. What he represents in football, what he has done in his career, there is no problem.

However, Ancelotti, who was speaking ahead of the Champions League last-16 second leg match against Liverpool on Wednesday, responded: “The relationship is not cold. You have to appreciate both perspectives. Hazard has been very honest, we don’t talk much because it could be a personal matter.”

He added, “The most important thing for me, is that if we don’t talk a lot, he still respects me. It’s the most important thing… like I totally respect it. He’s not playing because he has a lot of competition with a player in his position who plays very well, Vinicius (Junior).”

And when asked if Hazard would be in his team next season, the Italian added: “For next year I have the players that the club provides me.”
