Mbappe raises controversy about his future after PSG eliminated from Champions League

Paris Saint-Germain was eliminated from the Champions League for the second year in a row in the round of 16, after being defeated in 1st and 2nd leg by Bayern Munich, 3-0. Last year, it was eliminated by Real Madrid in the same round.

The Champions League is the cup that Nasser Al-Khulaifi, Al-Ghali and Al-Nafith, pushed for, but failed again in his endeavor. After contracting with Messi and renewing Mbappe’s contract for a fabulous amount, nothing has changed.

Last June, Paris Saint-Germain succeeded in preserving its first star, Kylian Mbappe, and renewed his contract until 2024, with a clause allowing the French striker to renew it automatically if he wanted to, with a guarantee that he would receive 100 million euros as a loyalty bonus, according to the French newspaper L’Equipe.

And when Kylian Mbappe was asked if he would reconsider his future after the exclusion, he did not give a definitive answer about his continuation in Paris Saint-Germain: “I am calm, the only thing that matters to me this season is winning the league championship and after that we will see.”

He added, “It is another disappointment. till when? I don’t know, even now I’m talking about this season, it’s the most important thing, I don’t care about anything else, we lost to a great team  and now we have the league we hope to win.

And he ended: “We have to move forward and try to challenge everyone. When we look at the two teams we find that they have a team built to win the Champions League. This is our maximum, that’s all. We will ask ourselves and we will return to our daily lives.”
