L’Equipe announces a surprising clause in Mbappe’s contract with PSG.. depends on Champions League

Kylian Mbappe renewed his contract last summer with Paris Saint-Germain, leaving Real Madrid in trouble after he broke his promise with them. The French striker signed a new contract with the French club until 2024, but on almost the same day, the name Real Madrid appeared as his next destination sooner or later.

Rumors about the white team’s interest in Mbappe are still very strong and the French newspaper L’Equipe explains the striker’s situation now in Paris Saint-Germain: The renewal contract between Mbappe and Paris Saint-Germain contains an automatic renewal clause that the player must activate himself.

And the French newspaper stated that Mbappe will announce at the end of the season whether he will activate this clause or not. If he did, he would get €100m in return for the loyalty clause included in the contract.

However, L’Equipe reveals that this clause could change and the automatic renewal would be in the hands of PSG. If the Parisian team wins the Champions League, Mbappe’s contract renewal clause will be activated automatically until 2025 without the player being able to do anything.

In France, it is clear that the striker will continue at PSG until at least June 2024 and this summer they will not let him leave, no matter what offers come in for him.
